🚀1. Getting started

ChefGalaxy opens straight into onboarding — there's no account to create and no email required. In under a minute you'll:

• Pick your age band (5–8, 9–12, 13–17, or Adult) — this quietly tunes difficulty and pacing, not what content you can see.
• Choose one of 5 chef avatars — Nova, Comet, Basil, Blaze or Orbit.
• Enter a display name (shown only on your own device — nothing is public).
• Play a short interactive tutorial, which you can always replay later from Settings.

From there you land on the Galaxy Map, with Starter Kitchen already unlocked.

🌌2. The Galaxy Map

The Galaxy Map is your home base. It shows:

• Your HUD — avatar, name, level and rank, XP bar, coin balance, and a 🔥 streak badge once you're on a 2+ day streak.
• A search icon — jump straight to any recipe by name or cuisine, no need to open a world first (see section 4).
• Recipe of the Week — a featured recipe that changes every week and pays a +25% coin bonus when cooked.
• Today's Daily Challenge — a banner showing your progress toward today's goal (see section 8).
• Six world nodes — Starter Kitchen 🍳, Italian World 🍝, Indian World 🍛 (now including Bengali fish, Indian sweets and street-food chaat), Japanese World 🍱, Baking World 🧁 and World Kitchen 🌍 (Thai, Middle Eastern, Mexican, American and global fish dishes). Tap any unlocked world to enter its kitchen.
• Quick-access buttons for the Skill Tree, 2-Player pass-and-play mode, and your Wardrobe.

Every world's kitchen has the same five stations, so once you've learned one world you know them all:

👩‍🍳4. Cooking a recipe

Two ways in: tap Stove inside any world's kitchen to browse that world's recipes, or tap the search icon on the Galaxy Map to find any of the 95 recipes by name or cuisine and start cooking it directly — you don't need to find the right world first. Either way, you'll move through the same steps:

• Read the Real Kitchen Tip — every recipe opens with one genuine offline cooking technique tied to that dish, not just game flavor text.
• Gather ingredients — tick off everything the recipe calls for before you can start.
• Work through each cooking step — Chop, Mix, Boil or Bake, each its own quick hands-on mini-game, then Serve to plate the dish.
• Get scored — each step scores 0–100; your overall score becomes 1–3 stars.
• Earn your reward — XP and coins, more for a first-time completion and more again for a perfect (3-star) score.

Already cooked something? Look for the Chef's Challenge option on an already-cooked recipe — a tightened-timing replay that pays a bigger coin bonus.

🎮5. Mini-games

• Ingredient Match — 5 rounds, tap the ingredient that matches the name shown.
• Chop Challenge — time your tap to the moving blade's green zone, 5 times.
• Chef's Challenge — the same cooking actions with tighter timing and bigger rewards, unlocked once you've cooked a recipe at least once.
• 2-Player Chop-Off — a local, pass-and-play head-to-head Chop Challenge for two players on one device. No account or internet needed for either player.

Every mini-game follows the same rhythm: Start → Play → Pause/Resume any time → Complete → Score → Reward → Retry.

🌟6. XP, levels & the Skill Tree

Recipes, mini-games and challenges all pay XP. As your total XP grows you climb 50 levels and 8 ranks:

Separately, the Skill Tree tracks real technique across four branches — Preparation, Cooking, Food Knowledge and World Cuisine — each with its own unlock condition (like completing 3 Boil steps, or cooking a recipe from every world). It's less about grinding and more a record of what you've genuinely gotten good at.

👕7. Coins & Wardrobe

Coins are ChefGalaxy's soft currency, earned from recipes, mini-games, streaks and Daily Challenges. Open the Wardrobe from the Galaxy Map to spend them on hats, outfits and accessories for your chef avatar.

Every item is purely cosmetic — nothing you buy ever makes cooking easier or unlocks content you couldn't otherwise reach. You start with one free hat and apron already equipped, so there's always something to try on.

🔥8. Streaks & Daily Challenge

• Login streak — play on consecutive days and your streak climbs, paying an escalating coin bonus (capped at 7 days' worth). Miss a day and it resets — but nothing else is lost.
• Daily Challenge — a different goal each day (like "cook 2 recipes" or "cook something from Italian World"), shown as a banner on the Galaxy Map with your live progress. Complete it for a coin + XP bonus, called out right on your reward screen.

🏆9. Achievements & certificates

Achievements unlock for milestones like your first recipe, a perfect score, or your first skill. The moment one unlocks, you can jump straight to a shareable certificate — your name, avatar, rank and the date, ready to share as an image with family and friends.

📖10. Cookbook

The Cookbook (via any Serving Station) is a stamp collection of every recipe in the game, grouped by world — filled in once you've cooked it, outlined until then. It also generates a shareable progress card showing how far you've come, from Junior Chef up to Culinary Legend.

⚙️11. Settings & parental controls

• Accessibility — toggle sound, haptics and reduced motion independently.
• Theme — pick one of 5 color skins (Cosmic, Ocean, Sunset, Forest, Berry) to restyle the whole app in one tap.
• Reminders — an optional, opt-in nudge to come back and cook. Off by default.
• Parental Controls — daily screen-time limits and quiet hours, all enforced entirely on-device. Unlocked with your phone's own screen lock (PIN, pattern, password or biometric) — there's no separate app PIN to set up or forget.
• Reset Progress — permanently erases local save data and restarts onboarding. There's no cloud backup, so this can't be undone.
