1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using ChefGalaxy (the "App") or chefgalaxy.app (the "Website" and, together with the App, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian should review these Terms with you. The Service is published by Zenerly ("we," "us," "our").
2. The Service
ChefGalaxy is a culinary learning game. Core gameplay — onboarding, the galaxy map, worlds, kitchen, recipes, mini-games, XP, levels, skills, achievements and local save — works fully offline and does not require an account. Some optional features (ads, in-app purchases, platform leaderboards) may require an internet connection.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
ChefGalaxy does not require account creation in its current version. If future versions add optional accounts or cloud save, those features will be governed by an updated version of these Terms and, for users under 13, by COPPA-compliant parental consent flows.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or extract source code from the App except as permitted by law.
- Use cheats, exploits, automation ("bots") or unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or interfere with the Service or other players' use of it.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to harm minors.
5. In-App Purchases & Virtual Items
Coins, cosmetics, recipe packs and similar virtual items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are licensed to you, not sold — they remain our property. Purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit or Google Play Billing and are subject to those platforms' own refund policies. We do not sell gameplay advantages that let a paying player bypass learning content ("pay-to-win"), consistent with our Privacy Policy monetization principles.
6. Advertising
The App may show optional rewarded video ads and infrequent interstitials via Google AdMob, configured per age band as described in our Privacy Policy. Ads are never shown mid-recipe or mid-mini-game.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its game design, characters, worlds, artwork, code and the ChefGalaxy name and logo, is owned by Zenerly and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
8. User-Generated Content
ChefGalaxy's MVP does not include public user-generated content, chat, or content sharing. If this changes in a future version, these Terms will be updated with applicable content moderation and takedown provisions.
9. Disclaimers
ChefGalaxy is an entertainment and educational game, not professional culinary, nutrition, food-safety or medical advice. Always follow adult supervision and real kitchen safety practices when applying anything learned in the game to real cooking. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zenerly will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever this document changes.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and uninstall the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Zenerly is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
